We rent many sizes of cylinders/tanks. Our staff will determine the best tank size for your location (based on your usage, property size, and accessibility). The most common sizes for a residence are the 50 gallon and 100 gallon size. They are able to be located right against the house (with specific clearances from building openings and sources of ignition). They are sometimes called pickle barrels because of their upright shape. Larger sizes are available in the horizontal shape, and are more typical for heating or commercial applications. 250 gallon, 500 gallon and 1000 gallon are the common horizontal sizes available. These sizes require a minimum setback of 10’ from buildings, property lines & streets.
We rent the above sizes on an annual basis. Arrowhead LP Gas is responsible for the maintenance of the tank. You only need to keep the area around the tank clear of brush and maintain a clear path for our driver to access the tank for deliveries and occasional tank maintenance.
We can also sell the sizes that we rent. We realize some of you would prefer to own, rather than rent. You would then be responsible for any maintenance or upkeep on the tank.
In addition, most of our offices stock a wide range of smaller cylinders for sale. They range in size from 1 gallon on up to 23.5 gallons. Many of the smaller sizes are available in aluminum as well as the standard steel. We also offer a composite cylinder in the 2.5 and 4.5 gallon sizes - this cylinder offers see-through material so you can see your fuel level. It also is lighter weight than the steel, and doesn't rust. Ask us if you don't see them on our retail floor.
